Blue Halite in Sylvite is a rare and striking evaporite mineral formation, created in ancient inland seas as mineral-rich waters slowly crystallised over time. The vivid blue colouring within Halite occurs naturally due to radiation altering the crystal lattice deep within the Earth — not from dyes or artificial enhancement.
 
This specimen combines the sodium chloride of Halite with potassium chloride Sylvite, often displaying electric blues alongside soft lilac and translucent crystalline tones. Both minerals are delicate and water soluble, making this a collector’s display specimen best kept in dry conditions.
