Bronzite is a beautiful iron-bearing variety of the mineral Enstatite, recognised for its rich brown to deep bronze colouring and shimmering metallic flashes, known as schiller. These reflective inclusions give the stone its warm, bronze-like appearance and make each piece uniquely captivating.
 
Formed within igneous and metamorphic rocks, Bronzite is found in Austria, Brazil, India, Madagascar, South Africa and the United States. With a hardness of 5.5–6 on the Mohs scale, it is a durable and popular stone for jewellery, carvings and tumbled pieces.
