Chevron Amethyst is a naturally patterned variety of Amethyst distinguished by its striking V-shaped or banded formations of purple quartz and white quartz. These layered patterns form as Amethyst and milky quartz crystallise together in alternating phases within volcanic cavities, creating the distinctive “chevron” appearance.
 
As a member of the quartz family, it has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale and is widely appreciated in jewellery for both its durability and visual contrast. Major sources include Brazil, India and Madagascar.
