Dioptase is an exceptionally rare copper cyclosilicate mineral that forms in small, well-defined prismatic crystals. It develops within oxidised copper-rich environments and is often found alongside other copper-bearing minerals such as Chrysocolla, Malachite and Shattuckite.
 
Its colour ranges from deep, saturated emerald greens to lighter green tones with subtle blue undertones, giving it a luminous, almost electric appearance. The crystals are typically small yet highly reflective, often forming on matrix or appearing as vivid inclusions within Quartz — each piece showcasing intricate natural detail and striking visual depth.
 
This particular specimen comes from the Mashamba West Mine in Lualaba, Democratic Republic of Congo — a locality renowned for producing some of the most vibrant and sought-after Dioptase in the world.
