Grape Agate is a botryoidal (grape-like) formation of purple chalcedony within the quartz family. Its rounded spheres form when silica-rich mineral solutions slowly deposit inside volcanic cavities, building layer upon layer into tightly clustered orbs. Unlike traditional banded agate, it does not display striping — its beauty lies in its natural spherical growth and fine druzy surface.
 
Discovered relatively recently in West Sulawesi, Indonesia, Grape Agate ranges in colour from soft lavender to deep royal violet depending on mineral concentration and growth conditions. Each cluster forms uniquely, creating sculptural, organic shapes that resemble a natural bunch of grapes.
 
Traditionally associated with intuition and spiritual growth, Grape Agate is often linked to the Third Eye and Crown Chakras.
