Mugglestone is a distinctive variety of Tiger Iron, naturally combining Tiger Eye, Red Jasper and Hematite into a striking banded stone of golden browns, rich reds and metallic greys. Formed over millions of years as iron-rich sediments were compressed and transformed by heat and pressure, each layer tells part of the stone's unique geological story. The name Mugglestone is believed to have originated from the village of Mucklestone in Staffordshire, England, while today it is most commonly used to describe material sourced from South Africa, where some of the finest specimens are found.
