Shattuckite is a rare copper silicate mineral known for its rich indigo to deep blue colouring and striking swirling, painterly patterns. It forms in the oxidised zones of copper deposits and is often found alongside Chrysocolla, Malachite, Ajoite and Quartz, which further enhance both its beauty and energetic depth. With a hardness of 3.5–4 on the Mohs scale, Shattuckite is most famously sourced from the Shattuck Mine, with other notable deposits found in Namibia, Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Africa.
