Tree Agate is a form of Dendritic Agate, a white to colourless variety of Chalcedony characterised by delicate, tree- or fern-like inclusions known as dendrites, formed by iron or manganese impurities within the silica. These natural patterns are traditionally associated with growth, grounding and Earth wisdom. With a hardness of 6.5–7, Tree Agate is both durable and soothing, shaped over time by gentle geological processes.
 
Most Tree Agate is sourced from Brazil, Mexico and India, with additional deposits found throughout the United States. It is commonly shaped and polished or cut into cabochons, making it a widely loved and accessible stone — abundant in nature, yet deeply resonant for those drawn to its calm, earthy presence.
 
Energetically, Tree Agate shares very similar qualities with its sister stones Moss Agate and Dendritic Agate. It may help you feel more connected to Mother Earth, offering a sense of grounding, gentle protection and belonging.
